The weather wasn't too cold in New York today so my boyfriend and I decided to take a quick stroll. I'm still on winter break and to be honest, I've been staying home for days at a time because the weather has not been so pleasant. It was nice getting some fresh air before the snow comes in tomorrow. This is my first outfit post with my short hair and also one of the few times I felt bold enough to wear red lipstick in public (prior to this I was playing with red lipstick in my room and channeling Taylor Swift vibes). It's pretty cool how a different lip color could change the way I carry myself. After many purchases I finally found my perfect shade, it's 690 Siren in Scarlet from Maybelline. This is also one of the few times I decided to wear a hat. I've been looking for a wool hat for quite some time but they never felt right. The ones I have previously tried on were either too big or the brim of the hat just looked awkward. When I stumbled upon this one at Forever21 I knew I had to get it. I've also been really into over the knee boots. This particular pair is just right over my knee but I really want a pair that are mid-thigh in both tan and black, leather and suede (I guess you can say it's a new obsession). They add lots of height to my 5'2 frame which I can always appreciate.
Since the winters are pretty harsh where I live, wool or wool blend coats have been a must. However, I hate how much lint they attract. This is especially annoying when I have one of the furriest dogs on the planet who happens to have light fur. Just a heads up for anyone who is contemplating one of these black wool coats....stock up on your lint rollers. As always, thank you for reading and I hope everyone is having a great week!
